You should know that the CDC, the Center's for Disease Control's
website says half of adult smokers fail to quit smoking. Actually,
their positive spin is that "half of all adult smokers have
quit, so you can too". But there are studies, that have shown
it's much worse than that.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse site tells us "less than
7 percent of smokers who try to quit achieve more than 1 year of
abstinence...(and)...most smokers relapse within a few days of attempting
to quit."

More proof that "standard" ways to quit smoking
aren't easy way's to quit smoking is in the Jan. 1, 2006,
journal of the American Cancer Society, CANCER. It
says "up to one-half of cancer patients who smoke continue
to smoke...or relapse after trying to quit".

Why aren't "standard" ways to quit smoking
easy ways to quit smoking?
Your "standard" ways to help quit smoking range from
quit smoking tips, to nicotine replacement aids (NRT) - gum, patches,
etc.; pharmaceutical drugs, shots and herbs. Quit log's, counters,
quit lines. Hypnotism, laser therapy and acupuncture. And
what do they work on? Your nicotine addiction?
Looking at the statistic's it's questionable, or you might say
doubtful, if any of them can be considered an easy way to quit smoking.
- National Health Institutes sites tells us about a study where
126 people tried to quit a second time with nicotine replacement
therapy, gum, patches, etc and 98% failed!
- PR Web release article headline "Are nicotine weaning products
a bad joke?" the article was about a study review published
in Tobacco Control that combined and averaged nicotine replacement
therapy studies - 93% of nicotine patch & gum participants
were smoking again within 6 months!
- A study of the California Tobacco Surveys of 1992, 1996 and
1999 concluded that nicotine replacement therapy's are "no
longer effective in increasing long-term successful cessation...".
(How could it go from effective to no longer effective? Was it
ever?)
What are they missing? And since all the nicotine has left your
body in less than 3 days - why is it so easy to relapse weeks after
quitting - with "standard" ways to quit smoking?
All "standard" ways to quit smoking give you tips on
how to deal with, to "cope" with the withdrawal symptoms,
